Lanzarote’s airport is conveniently located between capital Arrecife and the popular tourist resort of the island.
Arracife is a lively and fun city, relatively small, but popular for beaches, parks, shopping, eating out and the nightlife. For a walk during the day, the El Charco quarter is popular, with good places to eat out along its route. The seafront is also attractive, guarded by the two great castles that hint to the past of this city, a raiding point for pirates that plagued the islands through the later middle ages.
