Kids can get “hands-on” experience with mining training, and there are loads of interactive exhibits. The museum was featured in the BBC show with Michael Portillo, “Great European Railway Journeys”.

Getting to Dortmund is easy. Dortmund Airport is located only 13 km from the city centre. It is also very close to Dusseldorf and Cologne, and the very efficient German Rail network makes it easy to move around.
