Almeria Campervan Motorhome Hire is situated mid way between Murcia in the north and Malaga in the south of Spain. This location is an ideal location to visit the Parque Nacional de Sierra Nevada and it’s nearby main city of Grenada. Grenada is very special with the Alhambra a must visit and you need to plan your trip as it can get very busy so an early morning start is recommended. Cordoba is another town that is well worth your time as it was conquered by the Muslim armies in the eight century.
Cordoba was founded by the Romans and because to its strategic importance on the river Guadalquivir , it became a port city of great importance, used for shipping Spanish olive oil, wine and wheat back to Ancient Rome.
When the city was reconquered by the Christians in 1236 they were amazed at the beauty of Cordoba.
You should walk round the old quarter you will discover a beautiful network of alleyways, squares and white-washed courtyards surrounding the Great Mosque-Cathedral, which reflects the importance of the city in the Middle Ages, and is the main attraction of Cordoba.
Cordoba is best known for La Mezquita, an immense mosque dating from 784 A.D
The Jewish Quarter also dates from that period. It spreads out from the Mosque to the walls and the Almodovar Gate.
Cordoba has the warmest summer high temperatures in Spain and Europe with average high temperatures around 37 °C (99 °F) in July and also in August.

I just wished to tell you a little bit about or experience on our recent holiday in Spain on our first campervan experience. We hired a lovely two person campervan and travelled to Granada and Malaga. The Campervan was very easy to drive and I can definitely confirm I will take this holiday again as it allowed us to get on the road with about 15 mins notice and be away to a new adventure.
