The Alhambra, whose name means “The Red Fortress”, is one of the most famous items of the Islamic historical legacy that makes Granada a hot spot among cultural and tourist cities in Spain. Covering an area of over 140,000 m2, the Alhambra is a stunning place to visit, described by Moorish poets as “a pearl set in emeralds”.
