Renters must be between the ages of 25 and 75. We allow anyone over the age of 21 to drive our vehicles, however, the principal driver and renter of the RV must be 25 years of age, or older.License RequirementsFor all drivers a national driver’s license from their home country is required. For local residents, a Canadian orAmerican license is sufficient, however, overseas residents may be required to produce an International Driver’sLicense – for translation purposes only – if their license is not in English script, or similar. Please note that an International Driver’s License is only valid in conjunction with a national driver’s license. All drivers must be present to sign Terms & Conditions and insurance papers at time of pick-up. The ‘principal driver’ will be considered the renter, and he/she must be the one to produce a valid MasterCard or Visa for security deposit (no pre-paid credit cards, debit cards, wire transfers or cash). There are no exceptions to this condition! In the interest of safety for all concerned, at the time of pick-up Supplier reserves the right to refuse a rental to a driver not deemed fit for handling an RV rental.Supplier requires all renters coming in on overseas flights to spend their first night in a hotel, therefore units cannot be picked up until their second day in Canada. This is for safety reasons.
US Border Crossing
There is no additional charge for travel to the United States.
Northern Rentals
A surcharge of $250 applies to rentals travelling north of Fort St. John along the Alaska Highway and Cassiar Highway, into the Yukon and Alaska. Limited northern travel is possible, but only in C-Small and C-Medium units. No travel is permitted on the Dempster Highway (also referred to as Yukon Highway 5 and Northwest Territories Highway 8) into the NW Territories and Nunavut.
Children Travelling Along
It’s important that our reservation staff be advised of the ages of all children travelling along and whether they are in child seats or booster seats. Our units come equipped with lap belts only, but most units have one tether installed by the manufacturer – that the back of the car seat can attach to. Please note that only one tether is possible per unit, and that not all units can accommodate tethers, therefore it is imperative that our reservation staff be advised of younger passengers at the time of booking to avoid disappointment. In all cases, supplier’s staff cannot assist in the installation of infant seats, therefore this will be the responsibility of the renter. Please note that we do not allow children in rear-facing car seats to travel in our units. This is a matter of safety, because the back of a rear-facing car seat cannot attach to the tether, which is usually found behind the forward-facing bench in the dinette. In the event of an accident, only a lap belt would be holding the rear-facing car seat in place, and we do not deem this sufficient.
Pet Surcharge
Available in a limited number of units for small dogs – maximum 30 pounds. A surcharge of $250 per rental covers the cost of additional cleaning required after rental.
