This sunny tourist resort is at the north end of the main island of Fuerteventura. This has all the sun, sea and sand that this famous resort is known for, although there’s a marina from which the ferry sails for equally-known Lanzarote, and the smaller island of Lobos. As a touristy area, there are many activities and small tours aimed at this market, including many trips from the harbour for sightseeing around the coast and islands. Surfing and kitesurfing are also popular activities.
Eating out is a popular choice for any meal around this resort, with a fine selection of eateries, including a couple on the beach itself. A night out is enjoyable, with a very active nightlife scene for those that want to party, and a good pubscene for others, ranging from local Canarian pubs, to English and Irish pubs.
